Savannah Senior Activities: Polar Plunge on Tybee Island, January 1st
Are you looking for a fun way to kick off the New Year?
Make a road trip to check out the Polar Plunge.
Many of us remember the first time we saw photos of Europeans jumping into an icy ocean in the winter.
Most of us first thought, “Wow- those guys are crazy”.
Many of us then thought, “Hmmm, I wonder if I could do that?”
For fourteen years, Tybee Island has hosted the “Tybee Polar Plunge allowing thousands of Coastal Georgians to “have fun and jump into the Atlantic with thousands of your closest friends”.
Is jumping into a frigid Atlantic Ocean on your bucket list?
The Tybee Polar Plunge returns to Tybee Island on January 1st.
Active Coastal Georgia seniors can thousands of thrill seekers and take the plunge into the brisk Atlantic Ocean at 12:00 noon on New Year’s Day. It’s a great way for seniors, senior groups, and entire families to start off the New Year.
Remember – in those old photos from Europe, they often went straight from the icy water plunge to a hot tub – have plenty of dry towels, hot cocoa/cider/coffee, and dry clothes on hand.
