Robins Air Force Base to Host Georgia’s Largest Model Train Exhibit During the Holidays – a Great Road Trip for Coastal Georgia Seniors
Georgia’s Robins Air Force Base is gearing up for a BIG “Planes and Trains” model train show during the holiday show. Indeed, it will be Georgia’s largest model train event of the year.
The Planes and Trains show has grown so large that it will take up two buildings in Robin’s Airforce Base Aviation Museum for 2013.
Historically, the exhibit has drawn up to 5,000 Georgia model train enthusiasts in a single week.
The exhibit is called “Planes and Trains” and has been an annual event since 2008. This is the sixth year and it is anticipated that it will draw Georgia senior model train hobbyists by the thousands.
This year’s exhibit will run daily from November 23rd – December 1st with the exception of Thanksgiving Day.
The exhibit is a kickoff of the holiday season for the Robins Air Force Base community and provides a welcome holiday activity that isn’t centered around shopping.
Whether you are a serious Georgia model train hobbyist or just have fond memories of enjoying a model train as a child, this exhibit makes a wonderful day trip for active Coastal Georgia seniors.
