Coastal Georgia Senior Golf Fans: Champions Tour Announces Return to Georgia in April 2014
The PGA Champions Tour showcases the golfers Coastal Georgia seniors grew up with. Lee Trevino. Curtis Strange. Gary Player. It is amazing how well these over 50 golfers still swing a club – certainly better than most of us in our prime.
This year the PGA has only scheduled one Champions Tour tournament in Georgia:
April 14-20 | Greater Gwinnett Championship | TPC Sugarloaf | Duluth, Ga. |
If you have been looking for a fun day or overnight trip, this is a wonderful opportunity.
In the good old days how many times did we promise ourselves that we’d take a day off and see Fred Couples or Nick Faldo play?
Life got in the way. Working to put food on the table. Raising kids. There never seemed to be time.
Now that many of us have the time, the PGA Champions Tour is coming to us, or pretty close.
Golf is a special game in that it is one of only a handful that Coastal Georgia Seniors can continue to play at a competitive level long after we’ve hung up our football cleats.
It is also one that watching fills us with nostalgia. For Coastal Empire Senior golf fans, there are decades of “remember when” moments to relive.
Get a new batch of memories when the PGA Champions Tour come to Georgia this April.
