Savannah Senior Activity Calendar- Joseph Ebberwein Exhibit at the JEA

Today’s Savannah Senior Activity Calendar event is the Joseph Ebberwein Exhibit coming to the Jewish Educational Alliance.

The JEA has a reputation for coordinating great cultural events of interest to Coastal Georgia seniors looking for fun Joseph Ebberwein Exhibit - Coastal Georgia Senior Activityevents to enjoy with friends.

Joseph has written his own introduction to his exhibit at the Savannah JEA:

I have always had an appreciation of beautiful art and relished those times at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, the Chicago Art Institute, or the Uffizi in Florence, standing in awe of masterpieces by Van Gogh, Monet, Renoir, Degas, Cezanne or Rembrandt, as well as the American Impressionists like Twachtman, Frieseke and Hassam.

Painting began as a hobby for me and soon became a passion when I began lessons in the home of a friend who had graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design. I discovered the satisfaction of taking a blank, harsh white canvas and filling it with shapes and shades of color, capturing the emotion of a beautiful ocean sunset, marsh landscape or a field of flowers.

I am a native of Savannah who loves the coast of Georgia and South Carolina.

Primarily, I paint landscapes of this beautiful coastal marshland where I live, but at this point, have not limited myself to any one focus. I am continuing to explore my style through various mediums and I hope you enjoy my paintings!
