Kids Cafe Helps Seniors Caring for Their Grandchildren
On today’s Savannah Grandparent’s Guide, we look at a great resource for local seniors who are caring for their grandchildren – Kids Cafe.
Many Savannah grandparents are caring for our grandchildren either part time or full time.
This can put a stress on every kind of Savannah senior resource.
Kids Cafe is a program that provides nutritious meals for Savannah children aged 2-18.
For many Savannah grandparents the Kids Cafe program is a real blessing, allowing us to stretch our tight budgets and to have the peace of mind of knowing our grandchildren are getting the nutrition they deserve.
The Kids Cafe program can be a real blessing for Savannah grandparents and our grandchildren.
Through Kids Cafe Savannah, a nutritious meal is provided to youth ages 2 – 18 on an ongoing basis at the following locations:
John S. Delaware Center
- Monday – Friday
- 4:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.
Moses Jackson Center
- Monday – Friday
- 4 p.m. – 4:30p.m.
Tompkins Center
- Monday – Thursday
- 5 p.m. – 6 p.m.
Tatemville Center
W.W. Law Center
- Monday – Thursday
- 4:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.
Woodville Center
- Monday – Thursday
- 5 p.m. – 6 p.m.
For Savannah grandparents who are assisting in raising their grandchildren or who are raising their grandkids full time, the Kids Cafe Savannah can be a wonderful resource.
