Coastal Empire Grandparents on a Budget: Spring Break Idea Part 2

Spring Break Activities in Savannah GA

Savannah Grandparent’s Ideas – How to entertain your grandchildren in Savannah on a budget.

Spring break is just around the corner, and Coastal Empire grandparents are scrambling to find fun activities to enjoy with their grandkids.

We had a number of requests from our Coastal Georgia grandparents to include some low cost or no cost options for Coastal Empire seniors on a budget.

Today’s Savannah Spring Break idea is fun and FREE!

Savvy Coastal Empire seniors will head to Ellis Square in Savannah to take their grandchildren to play in the fountain.

Your grandchildren love water and you’ll love the way back vibe in Savannah’s Ellis Square – musicians, street performers, and laid back groups playing chess and backgammon while enjoying the gorgeous spring weather.

Kick the fun level up for your grandchildren by bringing them in the early evening or even at night (Hey, it’s Savannah Spring Break – no school tomorrow!) when the lights are on.

Savannah’s Ellis Square is beautiful any time of day, but the fountains are really something to see at night.

Savannah grandparents make outings to Ellis Park super budget friendly by  packing a picnic lunch.

Remember the picnics of our youth? Cold fried chicken and potato salad. Peanut butter crackers and apple slices. Sandwiches from left over ham or roast. Deviled eggs. Whew! Memories!

Coastal Empire grandparents will create wonderful memories this Savannah Spring Break at Ellis Square.

Bring a change of clothes (or two just in case), sunscreen, water, and snacks.

E-mail your Savannah Spring Break photos with your grandchildren to CESeniors@gmail.com.

Happy Spring Break to all of our Seniors!
